Art (in seat), Walter (checking engine), and Dale Arfons, of Akron, Ohio. 1450 hp P-51 Allison engine. 132 mph top speed.. Top eliminator at 1954 World Series of Drag Racing, Lawrenceville, Illinois. Art said, "I had picked up this Allison airplane motor at a sale," Art said. "I bought it for $35. I put some wheels on it and started going."

Green Monster No. 11
1957-59
Walt and Art Arfons, of Akron, Ohio, 1710 cu. in. Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engine. On September 2, 1957, Arfons set a new speed record for gasoline-powered dragsters with a clocking of 152 mph, but crashed the Monster at the end of his run at the NHRA Nationals in Oklahoma City.
